Part of our coffee-roasting philosophy is that the art matters more than the buzz. For this reason, we salute the decaf drinkers! Our hope is to provide a decaf experience every bit as uniquely delicious as the rest of our offerings. For this reason, we only source coffees decaffeinated via natural means that don’t compromise flavor.
Our current selection has been decaffeinated via a sugarcane ethyl acetate process, in which the ethanol byproduct of sugarcane fermentation is combined with acetic acid. The resulting ethyl acetate is then used to wash the caffeine from steam-and-water treated coffee beans, while preserving their subtle sweetness and other flavor notes. This process is kosher and halal certified.
